About the Role
We are seeking a thoughtful, dependable art student to support a practicing artist with disabilities in both academic and community arts settings. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about inclusive arts practices, collaborative creativity, and building meaningful connections within the arts community.
You will attend classes alongside the artist, provide hands-on studio support as needed, and help facilitate engagement in school community and arts events. This is a unique opportunity to gain mentorship experience, expand your professional network,
and contribute to an inclusive creative practice.
Key Responsibilities
Attend art classes and studio sessions alongside the artist as needed
Provide organizational, and creative support as directed
Logistics support: assist with scheduling, class and project organization
Support participation in the NSCAD community and other community-based arts events
Ideal Candidate
Patient, adaptable, and cooperative
Comfortable engaging in arts communities and public settings
Reliable with robust communication skills
Prior experience with disability support is a plus (but not required)
Open to learning and contributing creatively
