Granatier Sportsplex is looking for an enthusiastic, dependable individual who enjoys working in an active, rapid-paced workplace.
This position is responsible for opening and/or closing the facility, installing and maintaining ice surfaces, operating the ice resurfacer safely and efficiently, and helping ensure the safety of all patrons. The successful candidate will also complete general maintenance, janitorial, and cleaning duties to maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility. The role also includes assisting customers with purchases and skate sharpening, with training provided.
The ideal candidate is able to follow direction, work independently, manage their time effectively, and take ownership of their responsibilities.
Position Details
Monday-Friday
30–40 hours per week
Typical shift is 3:00 PM–9:00 PM (until closing)
Qualifications
Valid driver's licence required
Previous ice resurfacer experience is an asset, but not required
Criminal record check required
Ability to perform general maintenance and cleaning duties
Ability to lift 75–100 lbs without assistance
Strong time management, communication, and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable and comfortable working in an active setting
