Become an integral part of MNP's Assurance & Accounting team as a Full time Accounting Technician in Kingston, ON. Bring your accounting expertise and assist clients in navigating financial reporting complexities.
As a valued member of MNP, you will support the Accounting team with tasks including bookkeeping, audit engagement, and tax compilations. This role requires working closely with client engagement teams to deliver tailored financial information, ensuring clients make informed decisions in a challenging business environment. Your expertise will contribute to the firm's mission of transforming mid-market business practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with audit, bookkeeping, and tax engagements
• Prepare government remittances and maintain financial records
• Set up client files and complete budgets
• Perform month-end and quarter-end close processes
• Reconcile GL accounts and investigate discrepancies
Requirements:
• Accounting certificate or business degree (finance major preferred)
• 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience
• Familiarity with T4s and T5s
• Understanding of basic accounting principles
• Experience with accounting software is an asset
