Join the City of Richmond as a Cultural Heritage Educator, where you will lead educational programs at local historic sites. Excellent customer service and communication are essential for this role.
In this position, you'll deliver school programs and tours that inspire a love of heritage. You will prepare all necessary materials for engaging and interactive activities, mentor volunteers, and evaluate programs with teachers. Your expertise will help foster an appreciation for Canadian and BC history.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct school programs and informative tours
• Prepare educational spaces and materials for sessions
• Create hands-on activities to engage participants
• Evaluate and provide feedback to teachers post-program
• Mentor and guide volunteers in program delivery
Requirements:
• 1-2 years of experience in educational roles related to heritage
• Knowledge of Canadian and British Columbia history
• Solid interpersonal and public speaking abilities
• Ability to manage small group dynamics
• Must pass a Police Information Check
