Elevate safeguarding practices with World Renew as a Safeguarding Specialist across North America. This role focuses on enhancing systems, developing policies, and training to combat abuse and exploitation.
In this temporary role, you will provide specialized safeguarding expertise that strengthens World Renew’s safeguards across the U.S. and Canada. Essential contributions will include strengthening reporting mechanisms, enhancing training programs, and facilitating an organizational culture focused on accountability and risk management. You'll collaborate across different programs to integrate safeguarding standards effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead development and improvement of safeguarding policies and tools
• Assess organizational safeguarding strengths and areas for improvement
• Implement safeguarding training for staff and volunteers
• Monitor and support safeguarding-related recommendations from audits
• Prepare reports and maintain safeguarding documentation
Requirements:
• Advanced degree in Social Work, Law, or related field
• Minimum of 7 years in safeguarding or child protection
• Extensive knowledge of safeguarding systems and frameworks
• Solid analytical and report development skills
• Familiarity with Canadian and U.S. legal contexts
