Here’s what you’ll be doing as a Café Supervisor:
As a lead you will assist in the daily operations of the café, leading the team during peak hours, completing inventory, ordering/receiving, and more! You will be focused on guest satisfaction and maintaining smooth flow of operations. The ideal candidate is a hardworking, dependable individual with strong leadership skills, who thrives in the fast pace of the café industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure that Stella’s Policies and Procedures are being followed at all times

Adhere to Manitoba Food Safe requirements to ensure efficient, safe and sanitary food and beverage production, sanitation, receiving, food storage and facility maintenance

Work on the floor and coach team members in real time

Assist in training all staff in all areas, including basic products and beverage handling and café safety standards

Ensure efficiency and productivity of staff by delegating and assigning tasks

Ensure completion of cleaning checklists,



and maintain the general tidiness of all areas of the café throughout shift as per Stella’s “clean as you go” policy

Ensure all equipment is clean and in good working condition

Ensure Stella's packaged products and beverage specs are being maintained and exceeded on every order, while maintaining production expediency

Stock and maintain sufficient levels of product to ensure seamless service

Complete commissary orders according to daily pars

Provide feedback to the C afé Manager on the performance of all employees, maintenance of the café and equipment and on opportunities for improvement

Have clear communication and provide appropriate documentation concerning any HR related situation with an employee to the C afé Manager

Handle guest complaints respectfully, determining QSA and/or promo discount where necessary and follow our procedures

Ensure confidentiality and protection of employee information

Adhere to all procedure and systems set by Stella’s in day-to-day management

Complete daily cash reconciliation, following Stella’s Cash Handling Procedures and Policies

Ensure that all employees are provided with a work environment that is safe and free of any harassment

Follow Stella’s Corrective Action Process for situations requiring discipline and/or coaching regarding Stella’s Policies and Procedures

Maintain and demonstrate skilled work ethics and a positive attitude at all times

Maintain and foster a positive relationship with fellow management team members

Requirements

Valid SmartChoices, Food Handler and WHMIS certification

FOH experience in a fast-paced restaurant

Excellent communication skills – listening, verbal and written

Outstanding organization, coordination, and multi-taskingabilities

Ability to be proactive in challenging situations

Proficiency in Microsoft Office
