Britannia Brewing is a local brewery, taphouse + eatery with a focus on craft beer and modern West Coast cuisine. With three locations across the Lower Mainland and one in the Okanagan, we’re proud to serve approachable, high‑quality beer and food in welcoming, community‑rooted spaces.
Our 90‑seat Ladner Village location is looking for a Line Cook to join our passionate kitchen team. We are a up‑scale casual restaurant that ups the game on food where other taphouses fall flat.
Role Overview
A line cook at Britannia Brewing Ladner plays a central role in delivering consistently high-quality dishes that reflect our standards for freshness, flavour and guest experience. The position is hands‑on, fast paced and essential to our operations. Our team of line cooks play a key role in assisting the Head Chef with all areas relating culinary operations. You will be bringing your ideas and skill set to develop features, contribute to our seasonal menus to optimize culinary operations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to Britannia Brewing recipes and quality standards
Maintain organized and well‑stocked mise en place before, during and after service
Setup line at the start of each shifts, ensuring stations, tools and equipment are ready for service
Coordinate with kitchen teammates to support smooth, timely service
Execute dishes quicky and accurately during peak periods while maintaining consistency and presentation
Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in development of new menu items and daily features
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleaning procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
Participate in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive work environment for all team members
Qualifications
Passion for the restaurant industry and a love of food (passion for craft beer a bonus!)
Previous experience working in a fast-paced, scratch kitchen as a line cook or prep cook (2+ years)
Strong understanding of cooking techniques, food handling, and kitchen equipment
Familiarity with food safety standards and protected food-handling practices; FoodSafe Level 1 is an asset
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team
Ability to your feet for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 30-40lbs as needed
Positive attitude, professionalism, and a willingness to learn and grow within the kitchen
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
