Join the powerhouse team at Cameco as a Shift Operating Engineer. Focus on the protected operation of high-pressure boilers and related utilities equipment in a 24-hour rotating shift model.

As a Shift Operating Engineer, you will ensure the safe management of powerhouse operations, including the operation of high-pressure boilers, water filtration, and compressed air systems. This role requires a minimum of five years’ experience in an industrial setting and familiarity with the Pressure Vessels Act. You will also supervise maintenance activities on powerhouse equipment to maintain optimal operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate high-pressure boilers and auxiliary systems
• Manage water treatment and filtration systems




• Control compressed air systems and diesel generators
• Supervise maintenance personnel during equipment work
• Maintain documentation in compliance with regulations

Requirements:
• Ontario Second Class Operating Engineer Certificate
• 5-8 years of industrial job experience
• In-depth knowledge of Pressure Vessels Act
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to follow established procedures
