Become a vital contributor to the City of Hamilton as a Transportation Systems Technologist. This position plays a crucial role in traffic management, intersection analysis, and data collection.

In this role, you will report directly to the Project Manager and assist with traffic operations related tasks. Key responsibilities include calculating roadway capacity, adjusting signal timings, and preparing recommendations for various committees. You will also conduct field investigations and analyze traffic data to ensure optimal operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review traffic signal operations and timing adjustments
• Develop signal timing databases for traffic controllers
• Conduct intersection analysis using microsimulation software




• Prepare reports addressing traffic congestion and access issues
• Evaluate traffic signal and equipment performance

Requirements:
• Three-Year Diploma in Transportation or Civil Engineering
• Experience with traffic signals and operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and traffic software
• Valid Class “G” Driver’s Licence
• Knowledge of provincial and federal regulations
