CASUAL TENANT ASSISTANT - ARLINGTONHAUS The Bethania Group is currently recruiting for a Casual TENANT ASSISTANT to join our dedicated team at the ArlingtonHaus location. ArlingtonHaus is a 55+ apartment building with Assisted Living, Independent living and Supportive Housing located at 880 Arlington Street in Winnipeg.
Tasks include delivery of direct personal care to Supportive Housing tenants by assisting with all activities of daily living. The Tenant Assistant prepares and serves snacks and light meals for tenants. The successful candidate would ideally be a positive, caring, polite and tactful person who listens to the opinions of others and is able to remain calm in any crisis.
Requirements for this position include:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Able to read and write English – able to effectively communicate both verbally and written
- Able to establish and maintain positive working relationships
- Able to follow instructions
- Able to function in stressful situations
- Able to manage and resolve conflict
- Able to work alone at times
Experience in a Supportive Housing setting would be an asset. A Health Care Aide certificate is an asset but not required.
The successful candidate must be available to work various shifts including days, evenings, and nights including weekends.
Applicants must be in good physical and mental health to meet the demands of the job.
This is a unionized position under our CUPE Collective Agreement.
Successful candidates are required to provide a current (within the past 12 months) Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Persons check) and an Adult Abuse Registry Check.
