Lead the AFN's Setting, Water, and Justice Branch as Senior Director. Drive policy development and enhance First Nations advocacy at national levels. In this vital position, you will oversee the planning and implementation of initiatives supporting AFN’s setting and justice advocacy.
Collaborating with First Nations leaders and external partners, you will ensure strategic alignment with organizational priorities. Your leadership will facilitate the development of impactful policies that serve First Nations communities effectively. Key Responsibilities:
Direct the launch of initiatives in environment and justice contexts
Craft strategies for national advocacy and policy development
Strengthen relationships with community and government stakeholders
Advise AFN's leadership on strategic policy moves
Create and disseminate key documents for stakeholders
Requirements:
Degree in Environmental Science, Law, or related fields
At least five years of senior management experience
Deep understanding of First Nations governance and issues
Experience in leading cross-functional projects
Solid planning and organizational skills
Utilize your expertise to advance First Nations advocacy on critical environmental and justice issues at the AFN.
