Located in Richmond, BC, General Fusion offers a dynamic setting for the Applied Physics team. You will engage in analyzing experimental campaigns and developing models to synthesize results from both experiments and simulations. Candidates should be driven, possess strong analytical skills, and thrive in a team-focused setting. Experience in programming, especially Python or C# / C++, will be essential for data analysis and model development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze diagnostic data to form hypotheses on plasma characteristics
• Propose and implement new experimental simulations
• Maintain and create analysis software for experimental data
• Collaborate on models of spherical tokamak plasmas
• Present technical results to wide-ranging audiences
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in engineering physics or physics
• 1-2 years of related experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics and electromagnetics
• Excellent analytical math skills, especially in calculus
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment preferred
