Job Summary
NL Health Services Pharmacy Department is seeking a motivated qualified to fill a Clinical Pharmacist IE position. The position will require involvement in both drug distribution activities and clinical services. Specifically, this would involve working in an interdisciplinary team setting to optimize patient outcomes by enhancing the efficacy and safety of pharmacotherapy. The Clinical Pharmacist will be required to effectively manage multi-disease states and complex pharmacotherapy regimens. As a teaching facility, the Clinical Pharmacist will be a preceptor to Pharmacy students and will provide on-going pharmacotherapy education to a variety of health care professionals and students both informally and through formal presentations. Participation in committees and relevant working groups may be required. There is an expectation that the Clinical Pharmacist will be on-call and will provide relief to other areas as needed. This position maintains accountability to the Professional Practice Consultant for Pharmacy for integrity and professional practice issues.
Job Qualifications:
Registration as a Pharmacist in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador is required.
Experience preferred.
