UBC is seeking a Journeyperson Plumber to perform essential plumbing maintenance and repair work across campus facilities. Your expertise will ensure reliable operation of critical systems while fostering an inclusive work workplace.
As part of UBC Building Operations, you will be responsible for the maintenance and renovation of gas, water, and waste disposal systems. Applying your plumbing skills, you will work in collaboration with other tradespeople to tackle a wide scope of plumbing challenges. This role prioritizes safety and a diverse workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform maintenance and repair on plumbing fixtures and systems • Inspect and diagnose issues with plumbing and backflow prevention • Execute safe assembly of plumbing parts and systems • Maintain standards for effective service request responses • Adhere to safety protocols and equipment management practices
Requirements: • Trade certification at the journeyperson level • Five years of plumbing experience or equivalent • Valid BC driver's license required • Proven problem-solving and communication skills • Active commitment to diversity principles
