Responsibilities

- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to enhance their comfort and independence
- Support seniors and individuals with disabilities through personalized care plans tailored to their unique needs
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are respected
- Maintain a clean and protected environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning client living areas and laundry
- Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive, engaging atmosphere




- Document care activities thoroughly in client records and communicate any changes or concerns to the healthcare team promptly

Qualifications

- Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly valued
- Demonstrated experience in senior care, dementia care, or working with individuals with disabilities
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to perform light cleaning tasks and meal preparation efficiently
- Valid certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory; training opportunities may be available for qualified candidates
- Experience working with individuals who have special needs or require assisted living support is an asset
