TMU Front of House Staff – MAC Concession Attendant / Residence Support Staff (Casual)

Role Description

We are looking for reliable, energetic, and service-focused team members to support food and beverage operations at the Mattamy Athletic Centre (MAC) and other TMU Eats service areas as required.

In this role, you will provide fast, friendly, and efficient service while preparing and serving food and beverages, processing guest transactions, maintaining clean and organized work areas, and supporting day-to-day operations and special events.

This is a fast-paced hospitality environment, so successful candidates should be comfortable working as part of a team, managing multiple tasks, and maintaining strong service standards during busy periods.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve food and beverage orders quickly, efficiently, and according to established standards.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to guests.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle cash and other transactions accurately.
- Follow safe food handling, sanitation, and hygiene practices at all times.
- Provide responsible alcohol service in accordance with Smart Serve principles.
- Ensure all AGCO alcohol policies and regulations are followed.
- Perform opening, closing, stocking, replenishment, and general service duties as required.
- Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock items or operational needs to supervisors.




- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked work areas and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with team members during events, peak service periods, and regular operations.
- Follow all TMU Eats service standards, policies, and Health & Safety procedures.
- Work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and applicable workplace safety requirements.

Qualifications
- Valid Smart Serve certification, or willingness to obtain certification before starting the role.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
- Previous food service, concessions, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience is preferred.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple tasks at once.
- Able to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to accurately count money, make change, and process transactions.
- Experience using POS systems is an asset.
- Reliable, punctual, and attentive to detail.
- Available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-based shifts as required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive duties safely.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Must be able to reliably commute to the Mattamy Athletic Centre and other assigned TMU locations.
