Role Overview
Teck is looking for an experienced Apprentice, Pipefitter to join our team at our Trail Operations, reporting to the Group Leader
Key Responsibilities
Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
Repair and maintain a wide variety of complex piping systems that are integral to the operation's activities
Perform preventative maintenance and fabrication work
Able to work independently or as part of a team
Qualifications
Completion of Grade 12 (please submit a copy of certificate to application)
Completion of a Pipefitter/Plumber Foundation course and/or
Currently indentured as aapprentice pipefitter
Journeyperson Plumber with transferable hours will also be considered
WHMIS certification is an asset
Related industrial maintenance experience
Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems considered an asset
In addition, our Apprentices receive a variety of advantages including:
Financial assistance to help with travel and relocation costs
Teck covers the cost of required technical training and schooling for the apprenticeship program, including tuition, mandatory textbooks, and required materials
Apprentices also receive salary coverage while attending technical training
Apprentices are provided the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience while working alongside certified Journeypersons
Structured on‑job training is combined with formal technical training to ensure successful completion of the apprenticeship program
Ongoing mentorship and performance support throughout the apprenticeship
Pay Range: $36.56-$46.03 /hr
The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
