Northern Health is seeking a Primary Care Assistant committed to patient safety and efficient care in Burns Lake. This role provides essential operational and administrative support in a collaborative healthcare team workplace.
As a Primary Care Assistant, you will be integral to delivering high-quality services, assisting healthcare providers with day-to-day operations. Candidates must communicate effectively and manage multiple priorities while having a solid understanding of medical terminology. This position is perfect for those with a passion for healthcare and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in administrative tasks for Primary Care providers
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and patients
• Organize multiple tasks with efficiency and accuracy
• Adhere to safety practices and procedures
• Engage with healthcare software for documentation
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 and an accredited Office Assistant Course
• Two years of relevant healthcare experience
• Strong typing skills (minimum 40 WPM)
• Knowledge of medical terms and procedures
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
