Roads Labourer

The City of Iqaluit is looking for a Roads Labourer to join our team.

Position Details
Department: Public Works
Status: Full Time Permanent
Rate of Pay: $31.61 per hour (40 hours a week)
Settlement Allowance: $20,907.43 per annum
Union Status: Unionized

Responsibilities
Maintain the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of municipal infrastructure such as roads, sidewalks, and municipal grounds.
Assist with road work, including culvert installation and drainage improvements.
Provide traffic control during road maintenance activities.
Support cemetery operations during burials.
Work effectively in a team setting under varying weather conditions.

Qualifications




High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in municipal services, construction, public works, or manual labor is an asset.

Additional Requirements
Indigenous language preferred.
Criminal record check required for the position.
