Take on a leadership role in mill maintenance at BHP's Jansen Potash Project in Leroy, Saskatchewan. Focus on enhancing equipment reliability and fostering a safety-first culture.
As the Superintendent for Maintenance at the Jansen Project, you will lead initiatives geared towards maximizing the operational efficiency of mining equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will coordinate the execution of maintenance tasks while ensuring adherence to strict safety and environmental guidelines. This role is integral to supporting BHP’s commitment to sustainable and responsible resource development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule and execute maintenance tasks to optimize production
• Manage and execute maintenance shutdowns effectively
• Apply risk management techniques to ensure safety
• Control storage and disposal of hazardous materials
• Develop actionable plans based on corporate strategies
Requirements:
• Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred
• Supervisory experience in related mining fields
• Familiarity with Saskatchewan Mines Regulations
• Ability to obtain Mines Supervisor certificate
• Experience in commissioning plant equipment strongly preferred
