Job Description
What's the opportunity?
We're looking for a product leader to own the roadmap for RBC's internal agentic AI platform end-to-end - from intake and prioritization through delivery and measurement. As Director, Product Strategy & Roadmap, you will decide what ships and when, ground those decisions in user value and adoption evidence, and own the product experience and analytics that make the platform usable and valuable at scale.

You will bring rigour to prioritization, fluency in agentic AI, and the credibility to partner with engineering on how the roadmap gets built - without owning the technical implementation.

Your responsibilities will include:

Roadmap ownership: Maintaining and communicating a rolling 12-month roadmap with clear, evidence-based prioritization rationale

Stakeholder intake: Capturing, assessing, and prioritizing feature requests from business lines, users, and leadership against a consistent value bar

User experience: Owning the end-to-end product experience across the platform - how users discover, adopt, build with, and get value from it - including the self-service builder, templates, and connector catalog as part of a coherent whole.

Product analytics: Building and maintaining adoption dashboards, usage telemetry, and value-realization measurement to drive decisions

Delivery partnership : Partnering with engineering on acceptance criteria, backlog, and delivery quality, staying engaged to protect the user outcome

Responsible AI in practice: Embedding the safety, governance, and transparency standards set by the AI Group's Safety and Responsible AI function into the roadmap and release gates

Market awareness: Conducting competitive and market analysis to inform platform direction

You're our ideal candidate if you:

Have 8+ years of product management experience, including 3+ in AI/ML products or enterprise platforms

Have a strong product-experience and design sensibility - able to shape how users discover, adopt, and succeed with a product, not only what features it has.

Have a deep working understanding of agentic AI: LLMs, tool-use, MCP connectors, RAG, and multi-agent orchestration

Have owned and delivered a product roadmap with measurable adoption outcomes

Are strongly analytical - able to define and track adoption metrics, build dashboards, and interpret telemetry

Have the technical fluency to partner with engineers on architecture decisions without writing code

Have agile delivery expertise: backlog grooming and acceptance-criteria definition

Have financial services awareness, or the ability to develop it quickly - understanding banking end-users (advisors, analysts, operations staff) and their workflow needs

Nice to have:

Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, HCI, or a related discipline

Product management certification (AIPM, Pragmatic Institute, CSPO, or SAFe)

Experience building developer platforms, APIs, or self-service builder tools

Familiarity with AI governance frameworks (NIST AI RMF, OSFI E-23, or equivalent)

Experience with prompt engineering, model evaluation, or fine-tuning in production

Background at a fintech, regtech, or major bank digital team

What's in it for you:

Drive AI transformation at one of Canada's largest and most respected financial institutions, with exposure to senior leadership across RBC

Be part of a newly formed, high-impact function within RBC's AI Group alongside experienced transformation leaders

A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock options where applicable

Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities

Ability to make a difference and lasting impact from a local-to-global scale

About the AI Group:
RBC's AI Group is the AI accelerator for RBC, with a focus on driving the shift from early-stage AI projects to scaled, client outcomes that amplify the impact of RBC's people.

In addition to helping scale the biggest AI opportunities at RBC, the AI Group is responsible for advancing research into emerging use cases across generative and agentic AI, while maintaining expertise in security, responsible AI and regulatory expectations.

Inclusion and Equal Opportunity Employment:
RBC is an equal chance employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We are pleased to consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, protected veterans status, Aboriginal/Native American status or any other legally-protected factors. Disability-related accommodations during the application process are available upon request.
