Make an impact with our Legal & Risk Management team as a Manager, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance. This diverse team of professionals provides legal expertise to support the success of our operations across a broad range of practice areas. As a trusted advisor, you’ll apply your understanding of the legislative landscape to proactively explore and mitigate risk and ensure firmwide compliance.

Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day management of MNP’s AML compliance programs, including overseeing AML matters and providing practical, risk-based guidance to internal stakeholders
Act as a trusted advisor to Legal, Compliance, and business teams on AML=related risks, obligations, and emerging issues
Develop, maintain, and enhance AML policies, procedures, and supporting documentation to ensure alignment with applicable legislation and regulatory guidance
Coordinate and oversee the firm’s Compliance Effectiveness Reviews, including planning, stakeholder coordination, follow-up, and tracking of related action items
Monitor the AML regulatory landscape (including FINTRAC and legislative developments) and translate requirements into actionable internal updates
Design,
develop, and deliver AML training programs, including targeted and role‑specific training initiatives for different groups across the firm
Maintain oversight of AML training completion, tracking, and recordkeeping to support audit and regulatory requirements
Support the identification, assessment, and escalation of potential suspicious activity and reporting obligations, where required
Identify, assess, and manage AML and compliance risks associated with third‑party relationships prior to and during onboarding
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed AML compliance into operational processes and service delivery
Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses, and industry risk profile
Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve AML processes, controls, and program effectiveness
Skills and Experience
At least four (4) years of experience in AML and Anti‑Terrorist Financing (ATF) compliance, ideally within a professional services, financial services, or legal environment
CAMS Certification is considered an asset
Strong understanding of Canadian regulatory frameworks and AML legislation, including the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA)
and Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) regulations
Demonstrated ability to manage and operate compliance programs in a complex organization
Strong business judgment with the ability to provide practical, solution‑oriented advice in fast‑paced environments
Demonstrated ability to identify compliance risks, analyze complex situations, and develop effective mitigation strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical guidance
Ability to communicate effectively with organizational leaders and staff at all levels, building trusted relationships and influencing outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups
