We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all equipment within our facility. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of our operations.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and conduct repairs as necessary.
Conduct inspections of equipment to identify potential problems before they occur.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed and parts used.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures while performing maintenance duties.
Assist in the installation of recent equipment as needed.
Requirements
Completion of one of the following Ontario College of Trades Programs: Automotive Service Technician Program (310S) or Provincial/Territorial equivalent with Red Seal Endorsement (RSE); Truck and Coach Technician (310T) or Provincial/Territorial equivalent with Red Seal Endorsement (RSE)
Possess and maintain valid Driver's License
Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role.
Robust mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of machinery.
Ability to work on different manufactured engines (mainly Cummins and Detroit)
Familiarity with electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Basic Computer knowledge in MS Office and maintenance software programs
Willingness to work overtime if required.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
