We are currently seeking a motivated, efficient and organised individual to fill the seasonal role of Transfer Coordinator & Radio Dispatch, based at our Ripley Creek location in the town of Stewart, Northern BC.
The Transfer Coordinator / Radio Dispatch reports to the Director of Operations and acts as the primary point of coordination between the Lodge, Vernon Head Office, transportation suppliers, and guests for lodge-based transfers and travel arrangements. This role also monitors radio communications throughout the ski day, where accuracy, attention to detail, and clear tracking of helicopters, guides, and guest activity are essential.
Preferred Skills and Core Competencies
- Provide excellent guest service and help maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
- Organize transfers to and from the Lodge as required.
- Ensure lunches are organized for all transfers.
- Create accurate and timely passenger manifests for all transfers.
- Keep the Guest Information System accurate and up to date.
- Ensure welcome letters are prepared for check-in and that all relevant documents are included in welcome binders.
- Confirm that guest personal information is accurate and current at check-in.
- Email guests their run lists after their package is complete.
- Track incoming flights to local airports, including Terrace and Smithers.
- Track and follow up on lost luggage as needed.
- Re-book guest flights when required.
- Check guests in for their return flights.
- Support the Office Manager and/or Director of Operations by updating flight times, cross-referencing signed waivers against the current guest list, and entering comment card information into the operations data collection system.
- Attend weekly planning meetings to provide input on upcoming arrivals,
operational highlights and challenges, and logistics requirements.
- Monitor radio communications throughout the ski day, including flight following for helicopters and guides in the field, radio dispatch for outside communications into the Lodge, emergency radio operations, and familiarity with the Last Frontier Heliskiing Emergency Response Plan.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, senior management, and co-workers.
- Ability to respond effectively to changing demands.
- Solid logistical skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Access.
- Friendly, service-oriented personality and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to think clearly and make quick decisions.
- Professional manner and calm, rational approach in busy or high-pressure situations.
- Flexible, positive, and solution-focused attitude.
- Energetic and patient.
- Ability to sit for long periods during the day.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with speakers of other languages.
- Additional languages are an asset.
- Passion for the outdoors is an asset.
Working Conditions Accommodation and meals are supplied while working.
Summer and winter schedules are negotiable, depending on the candidate’s availability and the needs of the Lodge.

This is a winter seasonal position, running from approximately early-mid January - mid April 2027.
