Become a Residential Care Worker in Vancouver with the Developmental Disabilities Association. This position will allow you to assist valuable residents in their daily needs while promoting inclusion and independence.
As a temporary part time worker, you will engage in supporting residents' physical, emotional, and recreational needs in a group home setting. You will use your experience and problem-solving skills to help foster an environment of care and community. This role involves both teamwork and independent initiatives to optimize residents' quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with daily living tasks and recreational activities
• Support residents in emotional and social challenges
• Engage in problem-solving and effective communication
• Contribute to a team-based care environment
• Maintain safety and well-being protocols for all activities
Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Social Services or Education
• Minimum 1-2 years working with developmental disabilities
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License required
• Must undergo Criminal Record and Medical Clearance
• Competency in English communication needed
