Step into a leadership role as the Director of Park Planning and Development at the District of Saanich in beautiful Victoria, BC. This position combines strategic project oversight with community engagement.

As the District of Saanich aims to enhance its park system, the Parks Department seeks a leader with strong management skills and a vision for public spaces. You will oversee the design, planning, and construction of parks while guiding a team of professionals. This role demands robust project management to meet objectives under a $4 million budget.

Key Responsibilities:
• Direct park acquisition and design processes
• Ensure effective public engagement initiatives are applied
• Manage capital budget and project implementation




• Lead a diverse team of planners and tradespeople
• Foster innovative design practices in park development

Requirements:
• University degree in Landscape Architecture or equivalent
• Minimum six years of relevant experience in park management
• Experience in municipal governance is advantageous
• Eligible for Planning Institute membership in British Columbia
• Hold a valid BC Class 5 Driver's License and personal vehicle
