This temporary position requires a dedicated HR generalist to support various City departments. Reporting to the Deputy Director of HR Employee Services, you'll collaborate on initiatives focused on employee and labor relations, policy development, and diversity initiatives. Your contributions will be pivotal in fostering an inclusive, respectful, and engaged work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with management and union representatives
• Develop and implement HR programs and initiatives
• Provide HR guidance on collective agreements and legislation
• Manage recruitment, performance development, and attendance
• Foster a culture of respect and engagement across departments
Requirements:
• Degree in Human Resources or related field
• Significant experience in HR within a unionized environment
• CPHR designation preferred
• Strong knowledge of HR policies and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems
