In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing a spectrum of bodily injury and property claims. Your expertise will support colleagues and clients alike, providing essential legal advice and engaging in cooperative litigation efforts. You will also partner with senior legal staff on more complex cases, enhancing the quality of service delivered by The Co-operators.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee claims litigation processes from initiation to conclusion
• Work with Claims department for litigation success
• Research and assess complex legal matters
• Advise on issues requiring higher-level oversight
• Guide and mentor claims personnel
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in insurance defense or personal injury law
• Law Degree (LLB, JD, or similar)
• Registered with Ontario's legal regulatory body
• Exceptional communication and analytical skills
• Trial experience preferred
