AeroVect is seeking a Senior Software Safety Engineer to shape the future of ground handling autonomy. This role emphasizes integrating safety measures across software and hardware platforms.
Under the guidance of the Head of Safety, you will perform critical safety analyses, collaborate with diverse teams, and contribute to safety case development for commercial deployments in aviation. This position demands a high level of expertise in software safety lifecycles and risk assessment methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze system hazards using formal safety methodologies
• Derive and specify safety requirements for autonomy
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for safety integration
• Support safety case development for operational readiness
• Execute safety evaluations on software components
Requirements:
• 5+ years in safety engineering within relevant industries
• Solid experience in programming with C++ and Python
• Deep understanding of ISO 26262 and safety lifecycles
• Background in working with autonomous systems
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related discipline
