Job Summary We are seeking a Platform Modernization Engineer to join the Global Enterprise Technology team responsible for modernizing, securing, and enhancing mission-critical information distribution and file transfer platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, platform modernization, security, DevOps, and cloud technologies to improve platform reliability, resilience, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Application Development & Modernization Design, develop, and support enterprise applications, REST APIs, and platform services.
Modernize legacy applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and contemporary software architecture.
Develop integrations between enterprise platforms and internal systems.
Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to Proof of Concept (POC) initiatives.
Security & Platform Engineering Remediate application and infrastructure vulnerabilities identified through security assessments.
Upgrade frameworks, third-party libraries, and platform components.
Implement secure coding practices and security-by-design principles.
Collaborate with Cyber Security teams to resolve security findings and improve platform security.
Reliability & Observability Improve platform resilience, availability, recoverability, and fault tolerance.
Perform root cause analysis and resolve production issues.
Enhance monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability capabilities.




Eliminate performance bottlenecks and single points of failure.
Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and platform hardening initiatives.
DevOps & Automation Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery.
Automate testing, deployment, compliance, and operational processes.
Support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
Implement cloud-ready application architectures.
