Job Summary

Aero Delivery Saskatoon has a immediate opening for a full time Truck and Trailer Mechanic at our shop Prairie Fleet Services Shop, The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience, with the ability to work on various types of vehicles and equipment. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Duties

- Must be familiar with all aspects of all types of Transport trailers
- Tire repair and change over considered an asset
- - Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems

- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications

- Perform scheduled maintenance service

Mechanical Repairer Specific Skills

- Diagnose faults and malfunctions
- Inspect and test mechanical units
- Test and adjust units to specifications

Area Of Specialization





- Truck-trailer repair - Diesel Engines - Fuel and Emission Systems
- Ignition and electrical systems - Standard Transmissions
- AC, cooling and heating systems
- Reefer Knowledge considered an assest
- Welding Steel and aluminum Considered an asset
- Familiarity with schematics for troubleshooting various vehicle systems.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during repairs.
- Experience with welding is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and maintenance practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
