We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Class 3 Truck Driver to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of commercial trucks and equipment, including dump trucks, tandem dump trucks, hook-lift/roll-off bin trucks, and other construction vehicles.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who is comfortable working in an active construction environment, takes pride in maintaining their equipment, and can safely and efficiently transport materials, equipment, bins, and debris to and from job sites.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate Class 3 commercial vehicles, including dump trucks, tandems, hook lift trucks, and similar construction vehicles.
- Transport gravel, soil, aggregate, asphalt, construction debris, equipment, bins, and other materials between job sites, suppliers, and disposal facilities.
- Load, secure, transport, dump, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Operate hook lift systems for the delivery, pickup, and placement of containers and bins.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any mechanical or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, delivery tickets, and other required documentation.
- Ensure loads comply with weight restrictions, securement requirements, and applicable transportation regulations.
- Keep trucks clean and assist with basic preventative maintenance and upkeep.
- Safely maneuver vehicles on construction sites, including tight or uneven work areas.
- Communicate with supervisors, equipment operators, customers, and other employees to coordinate deliveries and site activities.




- Follow company safety procedures and all applicable transportation and occupational health and safety regulations.
- Assist with general construction or site duties when required and when trucking work permits.
- Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers, suppliers, and the public.

Qualifications

- Valid Class 3 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.
- Previous experience operating dump trucks, tandem trucks, hook lift trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar heavy commercial vehicles is preferred.
- Construction industry driving experience is considered a strong asset.
- Knowledge of protected load handling, weight limits, and commercial vehicle regulations.
- Ability to complete vehicle inspections and identify basic mechanical or safety issues.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to perform physical work associated with securing loads, operating tarps and equipment, climbing in and out of trucks, and general site activities.
- Must be willing to work extended hours when required during busy construction periods.

Schedule

Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00AM - 5:00PM, with additional hours and occasional weekends as required based on construction schedules, weather, and workload.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
