We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Class 1 Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent customer service. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and vehicle maintenance will be essential to keep our operations running smoothly.

Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 trucks to deliver freight to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules, delays or issues
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor vehicle problems to minimize downtime
- Follow all safety protocols related to freight handling, vehicle operation, and equipment use
Skills
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting common vehicle issues
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to trucking and freight handling
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads, perform inspections, and handle equipment as required
