Position Description

Fulger Transport is actively seeking to recruit two new Truck Drivers to work for associated Owner Operators within our fleet. The successful candidates will become employees of their chosen Owner Operator and will provide driving services for Fulger Transport through their Owner Operator's corporation. As such employment details such as payments will be discussed directly between the successful candidate and the Owner Operator.

This role entails providing Over The Road (OTR) truck driving services specializing in refrigerated products. In order to qualify for this position you must possess a valid Class A License, have at least 1 of driving experience, and must have a driving record in positive standing.

Duties





Operate and drive articulated trucks to transport goods and materials to regional and local international destinations.

Plan travel schedules and routes.

Ensure cargo is safety transported between locations.

Ensure all safety rules and regulations are adhered to both on and off the road.

Receive and relay information to central dispatcher.

Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.

Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness.

Update driver ELD; and prepare reports (trip; maintenance and repair; and accident) and trans-border documentation.

Oversee the unloading of the goods at destination and sign the bill of lading.

Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques as required.

Handle inquiries from customers.

Requirements

CDL-A

Valid Medical Card

Ability to cross the US Border

1-year Tractor Trailer Experience

21 Years of Age or Older

Good Driving Record
