ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
Together We Grow Montessori School is a new Montessori Casa program preparing to open in Vancouver’s West Broadway community. Our school will serve children ages 2.5 to 5 in thoughtfully prepared, mixed-age Montessori classrooms.

Our approach is grounded in authentic Montessori practice, respect for each child, uninterrupted learning, careful observation, and meaningful partnerships with families. We are creating a calm, beautiful, and purposeful environment where educators are respected as professionals and supported in building a strong classroom community.

ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking experienced and dedicated Montessori Casa Teachers to join our founding educational team.

Depending on the candidate’s qualifications, Montessori experience, and classroom leadership background, the successful applicant may be considered for a Lead Teacher position.

The Montessori Teacher will help prepare and maintain the classroom environment, present Montessori materials, observe and document children’s development, support a consistent uninterrupted work cycle, and build respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and maintain an organized, beautiful, accessible, and developmentally appropriate Montessori environment

Protect and support a consistent, uninterrupted Montessori work cycle

Present Montessori lessons individually and in small groups





Observe children and plan lessons based on their interests, readiness, and developmental needs

Maintain observation notes, lesson records, and developmental documentation

Support children’s independence, concentration, coordination, confidence, and sense of responsibility

Use respectful and developmentally appropriate guidance practices

Work collaboratively with Montessori teachers, ECEs, ECEAs, and support staff

Communicate professionally and compassionately with parents and guardians

Follow all licensing, supervision, health, safety, emergency, and confidentiality requirements

Support meals, toileting, rest, outdoor play, and other daily care routines as required

Contribute to a respectful, reflective, and collaborative school culture

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Valid British Columbia Early Childhood Educator Certificate

Montessori Early Childhood or Casa training for ages 3-6 from an established Montessori teacher education program

Experience working in a Montessori Casa or preschool classroom

Solid knowledge of Montessori philosophy and material presentations

Current Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it before employment





Strong observation, communication, record-keeping, and classroom-management skills

Eligibility to work in Canada

Ability to provide professional references and complete a Criminal Record Check

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

AMI, AMS, MACTE-recognized, or comparable Montessori Early Childhood credential

Three or more years of Montessori Casa classroom experience

Previous experience as a Montessori Lead Teacher or Head Guide

Experience leading an uninterrupted Montessori work cycle

Experience supporting classroom assistants and communicating with families

Candidates with solid Montessori training and less than three years of classroom experience are also encouraged to apply.

Compensation of $29.00-$34.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience

Regular full-time employment is anticipated to begin in January 2027. Paid classroom preparation, orientation, and staff training may begin before opening.
