Become a Community Support Worker in Vancouver with the Developmental Disabilities Association, where you will support clients in achieving personal independence. This full time position focuses on enhancing emotional, social, and daily living skills.
In this role, you will guide clients in a variety of activities tailored to promote their individual abilities while actively participating in their service plans. Your guidance will play an essential role in fostering a supportive community where clients with developmental disabilities can flourish through engaging programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist clients with daily life skills and personal care
• Develop and implement individual service plans
• Lead tailored programming to engage clients
• Create an inclusive and supportive program environment
• Provide outreach and community-based services
Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Social Services or similar
• 1-2 years’ relevant experience required
• Capable of lifting and transferring clients safely
• Class 5 Driver’s License necessary
• First Aid/CPR certification needed
Facilitate meaningful experiences for clients by providing exceptional support and personalized care in their development journey.
