Become a vital member of our Long Term Care team as a Dietary Aide. This role involves serving food and ensuring that hygiene standards are upheld to enhance resident safety.
As a Dietary Aide, your primary duties will include serving meals to residents, adhering to their dietary preferences, and maintaining cleanliness in food service areas. You will work closely with dietary supervisors and Registered Dietitians to implement meal plans and therapeutic diets. Additionally, you will be instrumental in delivering a satisfying dining experience through the Pleasurable Dining program.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve meals to clients and manage food waste
• Follow meal preparation guidelines closely
• Maintain organized kitchen and dining spaces
• Carry out proper food handling procedures
• Communicate residents’ dietary changes effectively
Requirements:
• Completion of Food Handler Certification
• Minimum six months of experience in food service
• Understanding of therapeutic diets is beneficial
• Criminal Records Check needed
• Ability to follow both written and oral instructions
