Become a vital part of the City of Woodstock as a Licensed Mechanic, responsible for maintaining various city vehicles. This role requires expertise in diagnostics and repair of heavy and light-duty vehicles.
The City of Woodstock is seeking a dedicated Licensed Mechanic to service its fleet of vehicles, which includes public works, transit, and specialized equipment. Your technical skills will be put to the test as you diagnose issues and ensure vehicle safety while working in a unionized and full-time setting. Additionally, you will be involved in preventative maintenance, ensuring all machinery remains operational.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and repair heavy and light-duty vehicles
• Diagnose vehicle issues using OEM software
• Conduct safety inspections as per guidelines
• Perform regular maintenance and tune-ups
• Respond to emergency vehicle breakdowns
Requirements:
• Valid 310T and 310S licenses in positive standing
• Ozone Depletion Certificate required
• Experience with heavy equipment preferred
• DZ driver's license in good standing
• Strong understanding of electronic systems
