Empower individuals as a Casual Residential Care Worker for the Developmental Disabilities Association in Vancouver/Richmond. Deliver quality support to enhance their lives and well-being.
Since 1952, the DDA has championed advocacy and inclusion for families with special needs. We are seeking compassionate direct support workers, either experienced or recent graduates. In this role, you will play a crucial part in helping individuals achieve personal goals within group homes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with their emotional and recreational needs
• Advocate for residents’ rights and independence
• Engage in community and social events
• Record and monitor resident care plans
• Participate in ongoing training opportunities
Requirements:
• Relevant degree or diploma in social services
• 1-2 years of experience assisting individuals with disabilities
• Class 5 Driver's License and clean driving record
• First Aid/CPR certification upon hire
• Transparent Criminal Record and TB Test
