Make a difference in addiction recovery as an Addiction Counsellor with Peel Addiction Assessment & Referral Centre (PAARC). Engage in community-based support for mental health and substance use, focusing on justice-involved individuals.

In this full time role at PAARC, you'll conduct assessments and provide ongoing counselling for clients with addiction and mental health challenges. Collaborating closely with the Brampton Drug Treatment Court, you will engage in multidisciplinary case management to foster positive life changes. This position emphasizes a person-centered approach while supporting those in the justice system.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct intake and treatment planning for applicants
• Provide ongoing counselling and case management support




• Respond effectively to crisis situations as they arise
• Participate in case conferences with community organizations
• Maintain accurate client documentation and records

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• 2 years of relevant experience in addiction counselling
• Knowledge of harm reduction frameworks
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
