Step into a part time Auxiliary Animal Control Officer role with the City of Campbell River. Focus on enforcing animal control bylaws while educating the community on responsible pet ownership.

This on-call position within the Bylaw Services Team allows you to impact local public safety positively. With tasks including inspections and community interaction, you will demonstrate independent judgment and diplomacy. Flexibility is crucial as work is scheduled on short notice across various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct inspections and enforce animal control regulations
• Educate residents on responsible pet ownership
• Assist Bylaw Enforcement Officers as needed
• Handle administrative duties related to animal control
• Practice tactful public relations within policy guidelines

Requirements:
• Grade 12 or equivalent educational credential
• Bylaw Compliance Training Level I & II completion
• Valid driver's licence with a clean record
• Training in conflict resolution
• Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification
