Become a vital part of CancerCare Manitoba as an Indigenous Psychosocial Clinician II, providing critical psychosocial support to cancer patients in Winnipeg. Bring your skills in clinical intervention and assessment to enhance care equity.
In this permanent role, you will work within the Psychosocial Oncology department, focusing on the unique challenges faced by Indigenous patients. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will deliver culturally safe, trauma-informed counseling while supporting inclusive health practices. Your work will have a lasting impact on patient experiences in the oncology pathway.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical assessment and treatment for oncology patients
• Deliver culturally competent counseling services
• Foster collaborations among healthcare members for integrated patient support
• Participate actively in research and educational initiatives
• Work towards dismantling barriers to healthcare access
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Social Work or equivalent discipline
• Minimum three years of relevant clinical experience
• Experience with Indigenous communities is preferred
• Knowledge of systemic health inequities and their impacts
• Robust analytic and communication skills
