Help empower women in Powell River as a Stopping the Violence Outreach Coordinator. This part time position offers flexible hours to provide critical support and community education.

Located in the qathet Regional District, you will be responsible for assisting women impacted by violence and facilitating educational resources. Your previous experience in community development and anti-violence work will be key as you guide clients through their recovery journeys.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct support for women before and after Grace House
• Assess and address individual safety needs in the community
• Engage with community partners for effective client support
• Advocate for services such as financial or medical assistance
• Organize and conduct public educational initiatives

Requirements:
• Diploma in social services or related field; bachelor’s preferred
• At least two years of community-related experience
• Background in adult education and transitional support
• Valid BC Driver’s License and clean Criminal Record Check
• Certified in CPR and First Aid
