Extendicare is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to provide excellent resident care. This part time role emphasizes teamwork and individualized nursing support.

As a part of the Extendicare team, the Licensed Practical Nurse will report to the Director of Health & Wellness. Your role includes assessing clinical needs, executing and adapting care plans, and maintaining documentation accuracy. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to manage patient care effectively in a safe environment, fostering a culture of respect and care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct resident clinical assessments and plan documentation
• Administer medications in compliance with regulations
• Coordinate and lead care conferences with families




• Manage emergency responses and first aid situations
• Oversee the activities of unregulated care providers

Requirements:
• Valid registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Experience in gerontology or long-term care preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required
• Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
