As the Community Connections Worker at LUSO, you will enhance the integration of newcomers in your community through targeted programs and activities. Utilize your skills to create engaging opportunities for residents of all ages.

This 28-hour per week part time role is set to begin in late August. Focus on delivering programs and workshops that support newcomers in navigating their settlement journey, building valuable connections along the way.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop programs for children, youth, and families
• Facilitate community-building activities promoting local engagement
• Conduct language learning sessions in an informal context
• Collaborate with local resources for enhanced support
• Organize outreach to promote events and engage newcomers

Requirements:
• Degree/diploma in Social Service Work or equivalent
• At least 2-3 years working with diverse families
• Understanding of the settlement experience in Canada
• Proven skills in program planning and event facilitation
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle
