This pivotal role involves supporting the development and management of language grants tailored for Métis citizens in BC. Collaborating with the Senior Manager, you'll engage with community leaders while coordinating various language initiatives that promote Michif culture. The focus will be on ensuring grant compliance, community outreach, and resource development, fostering robust relationships among Métis Chartered Communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and assist with language grant proposals
• Coordinate the distribution of language resources
• Manage budgets for language grant streams
• Provide technical support to grant applicants
• Monitor grant cycle outcomes and collect data
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or similar
• At least three years of project coordination experience
• Strong knowledge of financial administration
• Proven experience in community outreach
• Ability to communicate effectively with Elders
Be an integral part of preserving and promoting Michif languages through effective program management.
