ENGIE North America seeks a Wind Technician I for Cape Scott Wind Farm. Engage in hands-on maintenance and support tasks on cutting-edge wind technology.
This position allows you to work outdoors and collaborate with a dedicated team near Port Hardy, BC. You'll perform essential repairs on wind turbines and ensure compliance with safety rules. With your technical skills, you will contribute to ENGIE’s mission in renewable energy while gaining valuable experience in the wind industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute job safety plans and lock-out tag-out procedures
• Troubleshoot and repair wind turbine systems
• Climb and inspect turbines with necessary training
• Utilize hand and electrical testing tools effectively
• Supervise site visitors for safety compliance
Requirements:
• High school education or equivalent
• One year in wind, solar, or similar operations
• Proficiency in electrical schematics interpretation
• Certification in Global Wind Organization training
• Willingness to travel and work diverse shifts
