Help transform lives at Peel Addiction Assessment & Referral Centre as a full time Addictions Counsellor. Focus on supporting clients struggling with opioid use through counseling and care plan development.

In this role based in Mississauga, you will conduct intake assessments, facilitate treatment planning, and manage ongoing casework. Key actions include engaging with clients and the community to provide comprehensive support and appropriate interventions during crises. Your expertise will enhance the effectiveness of PAARC's Opioids Program.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and screen clients for eligibility and needs
• Provide ongoing case management and client counseling
• Respond appropriately to crisis situations for clients




• Facilitate structured therapy groups while utilizing technology
• Create and maintain client files accurately and timely

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
• Minimum of 2 years relevant counseling experience
• Current CPR and First Aid certification necessary
• Proficient driver with valid Ontario license
• Trauma-informed counseling skills essential
