As part of the Vancouver Island Health Authority team, the Peer Support Worker plays a vital role for individuals under 35 struggling with psychosis. Utilizing your background in mental health services and social support, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver essential services. Be prepared for required travel between sites and embrace a flexible work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for service delivery
• Support clients dealing with mental health and substance issues
• Organize and provide education programs
• Maintain effective communication with clients and team
• Use electronic systems for service documentation
Requirements:
• Lived experience in mental health or substance services
• Community Mental Health Certificate or equivalent
• Grade 12 education
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
