Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Employment Resource Advisor / Jr Employment Consultant to join our team in Kelowna, Canada. In this role, you will provide valuable guidance and support to job seekers, helping them navigate their career paths and achieve their employment goals.
Conduct one-on-one sessions with clients to assess their employment needs and career goals
Develop personalized action plans for job seekers, including job search strategies and career planning
Assist clients with resume writing, cover letter development, and interview preparation
Facilitate job search workshops and employment-related presentations
Maintain accurate client records and documentation in database systems
Research and share information about local labor market trends and employment opportunities
Connect clients with relevant community resources and employment programs
Monitor client progress and provide ongoing support throughout their job search journey
Collaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive service delivery
Maintain updated knowledge of employment resources and job search tools
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
0-2 years of experience in career counseling, employment services, or related field
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a supportive and professional approach
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple client cases effectively
Experience in resume writing and interview coaching (preferred)
Knowledge of local labor market trends and employment opportunities in the Kelowna region
Understanding of current job search strategies and employment standards
Career Development Practitioner certification is an asset
Ability to work with diverse populations and demonstrate cultural sensitivity
Strong presentation and facilitation skills
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
